I.T Support staff needed
Role description

● Offer Technical support to staff
●
Help
monitor our I.T systems, to identify issues that surface and resolve them
●
Install,
monitor and update software in the environment
●
Help
ensure overall I.T security in the environment, especially from a network
perspective
●
Help
with the maintenance of servers and client (staff) PCs
●
Ensuring
network components are in proper working condition
●
Assist
with the administration of the domain controller and its related tasks
●
Ensure
that the automated backups put in place are running as expected and that the
backups are at their expected locations and up to date
●
To
help ensure that staff biometric reports are generated on weekly/monthly basis
or as and when required
●
To
help troubleshoot internet related issues including communication with the
service provider(s)
●
Troubleshoot
IP repeaters issues and ensure they are up, as well communicating with the
control room monitors
●
Assist
in development and strict implementation of IT User policy
●
Maintain
confidentiality of all IT related information
●
Any
other duty that may be assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
·
Minimum of First Degree in Information Communication
Technology or Computer Science
·
Must have a minimum of 4 years post qualification
experience
· Excellent knowledge of IT packages as well as MS Word & Excel
- In-depth knowledge of computer networking and hardware- - Must
possess good memory of how software and operating systems work
- - Problem
solving skills i.e. excellent listening and questioning skills, combined
with the ability to interact confidently with staff/clients to establish
what the problem is and explain the solution
- - Strong
customer focus and ability to work well in a team
